She continues to amaze all of us July 31, 2011

That would be Zofia i am talking about in the title of this post.
Thankfully this is NOT a post about her latest antic haaaahaaa BUT about how amazing she is in Gymnastics.

I decided she has had enough of going to gymnastics at the Y, she was bored because she was more advanced then what the class had to offer. The coach realized this also but for liability reasons they would not allow her to advance to the next class until she was FIVE…that is 2 years away…not going to work.
So i went on the search for the perfect Gym for my little girl:-) i love how that all sounds:-)
Being a former gymnast myself i think i took this search for the perfect gym more seriously then i did when i searched for preschools….JUST KIDDING.
No but i was particular and i had certain expectations after looking at and grilling the owners/directors i found the perfect Gym.

Gemini Gymnastics Academy is so fabulous and i am so EXCITED i found this gym. The owner is fabulous and so sweet, and VERY experienced! she is also Zofia coach which i just love but all the coaches seem fabulous as well.
I just got such an amazing vibe when i first spoke to them on the phone and then on the first visit there.

So on Tuesday (July 26,2011) Zofia had her first class at Gemini Gymnastics Academy, she loved it the second she got in there. I knew she would it is the environment, the focus is gymnastics and that is it there are not a million other things going on at like at the Y.
So Zofia did awesome, she was over the moon and so proud of herself. This was a big day for our little Zofie:-) and as the title of this post says she continued to amaze us all with her natural talent for gymnastics….literally natural. She only started Gymnastics this past Jan,11.

BARS…Zofia LOVES the bars. The excitement in her face when the coach says “ok now we are going to go to the bars.

In both these pics the coach is spotting the other little girl in the class.
Zofia did this all by herself…remember she has only been in gymnastic since Jan 11 and the other class bar was much smaller. She is a NATURAL and it is just so amazing and fun to watch her on the bars.

Party in the streets July 17, 2011

Today we went to the second block party of the summer in the city.
Last Saturday we went to our friend Danielle and Randy’s block party which was so much fun and the kids had a blast. Some fun summer memories were made that day. We left at `11pm with happy, sticky, tired kids……the absolute best:-) Unfortunately i did not get any pictures of last Saturdays block party. We were too busy visiting and having so much fun!

Today’s we went to our Friend Michelle/Josh and Bella block party!
It was just as much fun and the kids had so much fun. We arrived earlier to today’s block party and left with happy, sticky tired kids at 8pm. I made sure to take some good pics of todays block party.

Block parties are so much fun especially in the city.
Looks like i will be planning a block party for our block next summer:-)

Despite how busy we are this summer with our new successful wedding photography business we are making the most of each weekend Eric has off and having the absolute best summer ever:-)

Silas and Zofia LOVE to paint their face and hands, every time we paint at home they paint on themselves rather then the paper HAHA….i LOVE it…the creative, imaginative kids i always dreamend of!

Zofia is just over the moon…..she is just loving the freedom to use her face and legs as a canvas.

She is so fabulously cute i cant get enough. She is EXACTLY the little girl i dreamed of. So cute, creative, diva, imaginative, sweet and funny and did i mention CUTE

I love hearing “The Meng Brothers” as soon as i found out we were having another boy i knew the boys would be so close and refereed to a lot as “The Meng Brothers”

Last night we had t-ball night. The last game of the season and they play under the lights, which of course the kids love especially the Meng Brothers:-)

Their was an announcer which the boys got a big kick out of.
Both boys did awesome and they both had good hits…i think i know what i am talking about LOL for those of you who know me, know i know nothing about baseball. I am learning now though and i LOVE going to their games.

T-Ball night was so fantastic and such a special night for the boys and their teammates.

“ZOFIA,OMG what did you DO” July 14, 2011

The title of this post is a statement that comes out of my mouth several times a day. Zofia is a spitfire, a diva, a very curious little girl who gets her hands into EVERYTHING. She is not always this way though. For the most part she is very, very good, and mellow, however when she is bad she is BAD.

So this past saturday morning Zofia cut her hair “all.by.myself” as she will tell you.
She butchered her hair, Eric said she had cyndi lauper hair HAHA….she did.

We had no choice but to make an emergency run to Kumie Nicholes hair salon for her to fix her little Diva Goddaughters hair.

I was devastated, i knew that her hair would have to be cut short. Zofia has or should i say HAD the most beautiful LONG hair….while it needed a trim this was far from a trim and i was so sad her long hair would be no more.
I knew that she would be sad too as she LOVED her long hair and wanted to have “tangled hair” as she will tell you, “tangled hair” meaning Rapunzel from the movie tangled.

Zofia was excited as could be on our way to Kumies work, that was b/c she had no clue she would be getting her hair all cut off. She loved her long hair soo much.

She cried for the first few minutes in Kumie Nicholes chair

and then had the most pittful pouty face the entire time she was in her chair.


We tried to distract her and make her happy with cookies and hair glitter…..neither worked:-)

Of course she was in the best hands possible and of course Kumie Nichole gave her God Daughter a very hip Diva cut.

So great now she is a hip Diva with even more attitude

One of my dearest Oldest friends Snezana was in town from Arizona visiting her family and friends.
Her Son Jovan and Zofia really hit it off and had so much fun together.
Zofia was sad when Jovan left after 3 days of playing.

We had such a fun fourth of July. We headed to the beach early and spent a few hours in the sand, sun and water….it was bliss.

We then headed to Suzie’s, a cute little joint:-) for lunch and ice cream…..yummy!

We stopped at our friends, Danielle, Randy, Rosie and Jaspers house to say hi before heading home.
Eric made a wonderful and delicious steak dinner, we ate, played and then enjoyed some popcorn while mommy told a story outside and then we watched the fireworks in our own backyard.
Our town has the most amazing firework show and we are so lucky to have a front row seat in our own backyard.

It was the most wonderful and lovely day with just the 5 of us.

Fun times in June July 8, 2011

June 11-30

We have had so much fun this summer so far. We have done so much and have just been busy, busy, busy!!!

Here is our June 2011 in review:-)

June 11 Little Cuz Rocco turned 1 years old…..holy cow time flies, feels like Auntie Joys first baby boy was just born yesterday.

Sp when Rocco was not really into his cake it was only natural for Silas to feed it to Rocco, Silas can not understand why someone would not like or want to eat frosting…hahaha…..he cracks me up.

On Thursday the kids and i went to the library. This was not an ordinary trip to the library though today’s library visit was special. Why???

Silas and Noah received their first very own library cards. They were so excited and felt so grown up
It was very cute, they both got a certificate and the librarian had a cute little speech they had to repeat after her….it was just darling.
Zofia was NOT happy, she wanted her own Libray card too. She loves her “brofers”
and wants to do whatever they do.

All three kids signed up for the summer reading program…that made Zofia happy:-)

Schools out…………… WOOHOOO July 8, 2011

June 7, 2011
Tuesday was the first day of summer break and we packed up our sand toys, filled a cooler and headed to the beach with our neighbors, Karli, Dylan and their mom, my dear friend Lisa. We meet our friends Leanna, Emily, Jayden, Leah and Lori and the beach.

One of our most favorite things to do in the summer is go to the beach so there was no other way to kick off summer break:-)

It was HOOOOOTTTTT…98 with a heat index in the 100′S and my air in my van broke on the way there. Once we were at the beach we were fine, as long as we were close to the water.
We played for about 2hours and headed home around 12:30/1:00, it was just too hot to spend the whole day there.
We had a BLAST!

Hard to believe July 6, 2011

It is rather hard to believe that on Wednesday our first born child, Noah, graduated from KINDERGARTEN!!
How can our little baby boy, who almost was taken from us before his life on this earth even started be graduating kindergarten.

Noah is a very cautious, observant, sensitive, smart,and compassionate little boy. I was a little worried about Noah when he started all day kindergarten as he is sometimes not so sure of himself, fears the unknown and can be very sensitive and shy at times but at the same time i knew he would love it and do so well. Noah LOVES to learn!

Noah entered kindergarten with Zealous. Once he got the “hang of school” he excelled.
He LOVES school and learning and all the new and exciting things that come along with being a kindergartner. Having a fabulous teacher like Ms. Ward helped so much!

I was co-room mom in his class and was so relived, excited and happy to see Noah get along with ALL his classmates at the first party of the year,the Halloween party. By the Christmas party it was very clear that his teacher, Ms. Ward, was right, Noah was MR. Popular.

Noah literally made great progress each and everyday and each quarter he was report card was better then the prior.

The first year of school for our little man was nothing but WONDERFUL!
He is so excited for first grade, although was a little sad to say goodbye to kindergarten because as he said “i will miss Ms. Ward very much”….how sweet is that??All of his teachers always had wonderful things to say about Noah when i would see them. It was always so refreshing to here how well behaved and good your child is.

We are so proud of Noah and look forward to watching him grow and learn in first grade. Hard to believe i have a first grader.

His graduation ceremony was so sweet. There are two kindergarten classes so they did the ceremony together.
They performed a couple songs demonstrating some the skills they learned in first grade.
Noah had a small solo at one point when they performed the Kindergarten chat ( army chant)
Ms. Ward put together a cute slideshow presentation of their year in Kindergarten.

Each one of their names were called and they went to the front to receive their diploma from the Principal. After the Ceremony there was a reception in the gym for the graduates and their family.
My co-room mom and I were in charge of the reception and just like the classroom parties we did a fabulous job and had a fabulous spread if i do say so myself

After the graduation we went into the gym for a recpetion.
It was so nice and we had a great afternoon celebrating this milestone in our sweet Noahs life.

Noah and his friend Karli. Karli lives behind us, her Mom Lisa and i are good friends. They are buddies. Although Karli prefers to play with Zofia and the boys love to play with their hero Karli’s 11 year old brother Dylan. Nicest 11 year old ever, loves to come over and play with the boys….he is so sweet and responsible.
